Gone are the days of phone buyers being forced to spend huge amounts of money to get a decent phone. Device manufacturers are constantly finding ways to cram more power into cheaper packages.

With that in mind, Xiaomi has announced a new device from its POCO brand called the POCO X3 NFC on its Mi Blog. This pushes the limits of what you can expect to find in a budget smartphone in terms of features.

POCO X3 NFC Features and Specs

Before you decide whether to spend your hard-earned money on the new POCO X3 NFC from Xiaomi, you're going to want to see what the phone is packing under the hood. There's a solid Snapdragon 732G processor and 6GB of RAM keeping things moving.

As for the screen, it's packing a 6.67-inch LCD screen with HDR10, an FHD+ resolution, and Gorilla Glass 5. There's also a 120Hz refresh rate, which is uncommon for phones at this low price.

Further surprising us is the large 5,160mAh battery. Xiaomi says you should get about two days of moderate usage out of the battery, which is quite impressive.

There's a quad-camera setup with moderately-powerful shooters. The POCO X3 NFC comes with a 64MP main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and two 2MP sensors for macro and depth shots. For selfie lovers, there's a 20MP tucked in a center-mounted punch-hole.

The phone even includes a 3.5mm headphone port, a feature that is becoming harder to find.

If longevity is a concern for you, Xiaomi promises that it will offer three years of system updates with the new phone, which means you won't have to worry about security updates and new versions of Android for a long time.

POCO X3 NFC Price and Availability

Unfortunately, the company is launching the POCO X3 NFC in Europe only, so those in the US will have to look elsewhere for a budget phone (perhaps a Google Pixel 4a).

However, if you're lucky enough to live in a market where the POCO X3 NFC is launching, you can snag it starting at only €229 ($271).

If you want to upgrade to the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option, you're looking at €269 ($318).

For those of you who act fast, you can preorder the device before it launches on September 8 for €199 ($235) and €249 ($294).

The device will be available in two colors: Shadow Grey and Cobalt Blue.
