Fumbling for the light switch in the middle of the night will no longer be an issue thanks to the new Wyze Night Light. The motion and light sensing light automatically switches on when it detects movement in the dark.

Wyze Night Light Is an Affordable Smart Lighting Solution

A post on the Wyze Forum revealed the new Wyze Night Light, a product that effectively one-ups every other night light on the market. The Wyze Night light doesn't require an electrical outlet, nor does it need batteries.

It comes with a built-in magnet that lets it cling to any metal surface. And in case you don't have a metal surface available, you can use the included magnetic mounting plate that you can stick anywhere you want.

Linked Wyze Night Lights

Once installed, the light will produce 2500K of warm light that won't startle you when you walk by in the dead of night. Plus, the backlit light only shines on the wall it's attached to, providing a gentle light source that won't hurt your eyes.

The smart light detects darkness and, thanks to its passive infrared sensor (PIR), will emit a soft glow when it senses motion. This means that the light won't waste any power by turning on in response to motion during the day. According to Wyze, the night light can detect motion up to 18ft away.

The Wyze Night Light is powered by a rechargeable 300mAh lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to 128 days. When it runs out of power, you can easily recharge it with a USB-C cable—Wyze says it only takes about one and a half to two hours to charge.

The light can also be linked to 10 other Wyze Night Lights. When one light turns on, all the others will turn on as well. This makes it ideal for lighting up an entire path, like a hallway or a staircase. However, the linked lights' battery lives will be slightly lower at 85 days.

Let Wyze Light the Way

The Wyze Night Light is currently available for preorder on Wyze's website. A pack of three lights will cost you just $19.99. Keep in mind that the lights don't come with the hardware to charge it, so that means you'll need to supply the USB-C charger and cable.

It does come with easy pull tape and three wall mount plates, however, which will definitely simplify the installation process.
