I have a 3 yr old GE Skype phone (brand new out of the box today model 31591). I have a Skype monthly subscription for unlimited Canada & US wide mobile and landline calls. I can make a call to a Skype address from the phone, but when I dial a landline or mobile number nothing happens. My account shows my monthly subscription paid when I check on a computer. On the Skype phone it does not show an option for monthly subscriptions. Can this be fixed. Alternatively if I buy a new Skype phone will the problem be solved?
Steve.

Skype has an easy to follow list for troubleshooting this issuehttps://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA33/why-am-i-having-trouble-calling-a-mobile-or-landlineThe most important ones are probably:Does your subscription cover the call you are trying to make?Just because you have a subscription doesn't mean you can make any phone call. The most basic one (limited subscription) only covers land line calls within a country or region. More expensive ones may cover calls to mobile numbers and other countries.Does Skype support the number?Skype doesn't support calls to just about any number or provider out there. Depending on the country different limitations apply.

It sounds like you're using a different Skype account on the phone from the one which you subscribed to! Also, run a firmware update on your phone and see if that helps.
