I receive the same update for Sp1 C++ redistribution package 2005 every five minutes via Windows auto updates. I have installed, restarted and still get the prompt to install the same updates (KB253824). Very annoying.

Instructions for uninstalling the patch may be found here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-roll-back-windows-hot-fixes-and-patches/If not I think it should be found on the Add or Remove Programs.

no it didnt....its still doing it....how do i uninstall this update? thats where the problem is i think.

Ah, this old bug again (: You have to manually go manually download the package. C++ Redist 32 bit: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5638
