The Start Menu is a central hub for all the apps and features that make using the Windows operating system a delight. By default, the Start menu comes neatly arranged to take up only a part of your screen when you click on it.

But you don’t have to settle for this. In fact, you can turn on the full-screen view on your Start menu without many hassles. And when you have the full view of your apps enabled, you get a complete picture of all the apps and features available on your PC, unlike with the usual, default Start menu. So let’s get started.

How to Enable or Disable Windows Full-Screen Start Menu

You can enable a full-screen view for the Start menu straight from the Settings menu. So, to launch the Settings menu and start tweaking the view settings, follow the steps below:

  1. Head to the Start menu search bar, type in ‘settings,’ and select the best match.
  2. Go to the Personalization section.
  3. Click on Start.
  4. From there, toggle on the Use Start full-screen switch.

That’s it. As soon as you do this, your Start Menu view will be changed from now on—taking up the full view of your Windows instead of the older half-start menu settings.

It’s important to remember that doing this won’t change your Start menu settings in tablet mode. Also, if you now want to disable the full-screen Start menu at a later time, all you’ve to do is toggle off the Use Start full screen from the Start section once again, and everything will be back to normal.

There's a lot you can do in the Settings panel, so check out our Windows 10 Setting guide for more information.

Enabling and Disabling the Windows Full-Screen Start Menu

The Start menu on Windows comes with a default setting from the manufacturer. But if you want access to more apps and features right from menus, then you can’t go wrong with enabling the full-screen menu through your Windows Settings.
