I have been searching far and wide for a inbox2 meets Thunderbird type system to organize, read feeds and be highly customizable. Any suggestions?

I just started using
Doit.im
, a cross-platform task manager based on AIR. It seems a great alternative to Things.[]'s!

Mya,if I'm not mistaken, Things and Omnifocus are task managers. But your description is a little confusing. It sounds like you're looking for an eMail client with integrated feedreader. You could certainly use Thunderbird with a ton of extensions. However, if you're actually looking for task managers, check out Gnatter:http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/gantter-the-ultimate-free-online-project-management-software/There are also web app alternatives. Have a look at Todoist:http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/todoist-simple-but-powerful-task-management-app/

You are not mistaken they are task managers. I am trying to find a really dynamic blend of task management and an email client. I have tried Thunderbird but I just can't fall in love with it which is odd because I am a huge Mozilla fan. Thanks for the feedback

Blogtrottr
is a web service that emails you updates from blogs' RSS feeds so you may want to check it out as it could help you integrate the feedreading feature within your desired email client.
