On Tuesday this week, my email within Windows 8 stopped working. I forward mail from my AOL account, and it works on all my other devices. I can't receive or send email, but all my old email is still showing up. The email program is effectively locked up.

You lost me at forwarding your AOL account and it working on other devices.Which account do you retrieve on your Windows 8 Mail?Which account do you retrieve on your other devices?Are you using POP or IMAP connection?
