What can cause repeated crashing of Windows 7 Ultimate? It is installed in dual boot mode with Win XP. Can it be due to display drivers? Or  is there some other reason? and how to go about resolving crash problem?

This happens sometimes.What you can do is to update your driver manually to latest version.See the following Microsoft Knowledge base - "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error in Windows 7 or Windows Vista

It is most likely the video drivers themselves that are causing the crash. Look for updated drivers. If none are available, try rolling back to the previous version to see if that resolves the issue.

We would need an error code to be able to tell what the issue may be, but it could be possible that the display driver is corrupt or not working.

depends some virus can propagate from hard drive to another hard driveyou can repair the windows 7 installation and see if it is a solution
