I've noticed this weird behavior with me browser, it seems to redirect me to various places with out my intention. It has been getting progressively worse, and it is slowing down my system. Also a new tab will open with something saying "Soundfrost Music Downloader." When I look this up, there are many websites claiming to have a removal tool, but I am afraid I might inadvertently install more crap on my system. How do I know what is safe to do or use to try to rid my system of this supposed virus? By the way, as you can see below, it even attaches a link to any forms that I fill out on line. This is very frustrating!

You can also try TDSKiller, SuperAntiSpyware, HittmanPro, Malwarebytes, etc. With a badly infected system, I like to run a bunch of different antivirus/antimalware scans to make sure everything is cleaned out.Just don't leave more than one anti-virus installed at once. They will fight each other. You will need to choose one to keep on your system. I like Microsoft Security Essentials for that.

Install Quick Heal and run Anti-malware scan. And then you won't be redirected to unwanted websites. And make sure you run anti-malware scan regularly.

reset your internet settings back to default, IE, tools, options, advanced, reset, and delete all of your cookies, settings, etc, and see if that will fix it...., but yes clean your computer also.

Kindly also check your Domain Name Servers (DNS) and be sure they're pointing to the right ones. You can use 8.8.8.8 that's for google.Use Google Chrome or Firefox, I recommend. Don't install stuffs like Picture-to-Cartoon softwares mostly seen online. Only install stuffs from good and recommended sites. If you're on windows 7+, quickly enable Microsoft Security Essentials (it comes shipped by default with Windows 8)Lastly, if you wish not to worry much about malwares and viruses and troubles of that sort, you can consider using a Linux flavor, such as Ubuntu.thanks

Install and try Firefox, if it does not get redirected when you type in a website then your Chrome browser has been highjacked. Look in the settings options for rogue addons and browser assistants and delete them.Failing all that, Start your computer in 'Safe' mode and scan for malware using the suggested software from the comments above. What AV if any are you using?

Your computer certainly seems to be infected by adware/malware and your browser hijacked.First thoroughly check your computer for spyware/adware/malware and clean them first. Lot of good free software are available for that. I would recommend Malwarebytes Anti-malware free version, I use them myself.Once you have done that, check your computer for viruses and clean them. Again lot of free good options available. Avast, AVG, Microsoft security essentials etc. After you have cleaned your computer thoroughly, install an anti-virus software.Your browser may also be hijacked. So check that and clean those references with a browser anti-hijack software. again lot of freeware available.Once everything is clean, install a firewall also along-with an antivirus already suggested. You can give Comodo Firewall FREE. It is a good software. After you have done all the steps and ensured that your computer is clean, you can always turn on the pop-up blocker in your browser. Almost all modern browser has popup blocker feature built-in.

You have the Soundfrost redirect malware installed and must be uninstalled as quickly as possible to reduce damage to your Windows registry and possibly any installed antivirus programs. It will install more malware and spyware if not stopped and removed. This isn't to scare you, just a warning of the possibilities. Here is a website with instructions to manually remove this malware: http://blog.teesupport.com/how-to-eliminate-httpsoundfrost-org-redirect-removal-help/. I definitely would follow up with Bruce and Aleksandra's advice just to make sure. When it comes to malware removal, there really isn't such thing as too safe. Good luck.

Yes, it was something to do with Soundfrost, although, I never downloaded anything resembling that. However I cleaned my system and it is gone. Thank you for your input.

Run a complete scan of your computer with your AV software. Also run either Malwarebytes or Spybot S&D on your system to make sure it is as clean as possible without resorting to a nuke & pave.

Your computer is infected! Download and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and let it clean your computer (http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/). Also download and run Ccleaner (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner).
