Internet explorer will just stop working after a while, less and less time (I am hoping I can type this), and I then must restart computer to run internet.
I have reset TCP/IP settings, reset cable modem, deleted suggested programs as described on other sites. The androids and laptop work fine on wireless but this computer is hard wired and has worked very well for years. I need to restart and then it works fine for a limited time. What's next?

Also, with above suggestions, try using latest updated version of Internet Explorer if you like the browser. The updated version might had fixed all of your problems that you are facing now.

My Aunt's computer would lock when she tried using Facebook. The only reason for it locking up was because she was using IE. As Kev Q said, get Chrome. Or, as I like to use, Mozilla Firefox. You will be so happy you left IE.

Did you manage to resolve the problem? If not, tell us a little more about your setup. What version of Windows are you using, how much memory have you got, how full your hard disc is and if anything else is "going funny" in your system. Also, have you tried another browser (e.g. Chrome)? If may well not be a fault with Internet Explorer as such but elsewhere in Windows.

...or, get Chrome. It's far superior to IE. google.com/chrome :)
