My PC seems to blue screen when playing swtor and WoW. Then all my other games just randomly restart my PC. I can play games for roughly 30-45 minutes, then it just either blue screens or just restarts.

I can do things on the Internet all day no problem. Every now and then it might restart, but I haven't had that issue more than once. What are your suggestions?

a)Have you installed all the windows update?b)Do you have latest windows 8 drivers installed on the computer?I suggest that you check the event logs in event viewer and provide the information from it, so that we can assist you further with the issue. To do this:1.Open Event Viewer by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Event Viewer.? If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.2.Click an event log in the left pane.3.Double-click an event to view the details of the event. For more information, click on the following link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/What-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

I would say you may have a bad video driver. Try getting the latest version from the manufacturer's website.

some games have compatibility on some OS. Sets Compatibility in your game may fix The Problem. or the drivers corrupted.

Since you mentioned to experience BSODs a lot during gaming you should definitely try to re-installing your graphics card driver as previously suggested. For NVIDIA ForceWare make sure to select "perform clean install".For AMD ATI I suggest to un-install the current driver using their tool.http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/catalyst-uninstall-utility.aspxCheck your memory e.g. using memtest as ha14 suggested. You can also try reseating your RAM and video card to make sure it is not a connectivity issue. In addition check in the BIOS (press DEL during boot) that "Video BIOS cacheable" or "Video BIOS shadowing" is disabled. Those are legacy options which cache the GPU's BIOS into a memory range which is often reserved by Windows and therefor can cause blue screens too.

this is what i got from who crashed Crash dump directory: C:WindowsMinidumpCrash dumps are enabled on your computer. On Wed 3/27/2013 8:55:10 AM GMT your computer crashedcrash dump file: C:WindowsMinidump32713-16099-01.dmpThis was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7A040) Bugcheck code: 0xA (0x1, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF800EC6EE35A)Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUALfile path: C:Windowssystem32ntoskrnl.exeproduct: Microsoft® Windows® Operating Systemcompany: Microsoft Corporationdescription: NT Kernel & SystemBug check description: This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. Apart from the other people's answers here, you also probably have a bad PSU where it doesnt supply enough power to support your whole PC setup.

BSODs are there for a reason. It means that Windows detected the error, tried to troubleshoot it and bug checked. The information given on the BSOD will also tell you where to start looking for the issue. So first thing you should do is disable automatic reboot on blue screens:1. Right-click on "My Computer" and click Properties2. click on the "Advanced" tab3. click on "Settings" where it says "Startup and Recovery"4. uncheck "Automatically restart"5. reboot for the settings to take effectNext time you get a BSOD the system will halt on that screen and give you time to take note of some important informations:- the error Name (all CAPS with underscore for spaces e.g. "IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL")- the STOP code e.g. "STOP: 0x00000001 (0x1234567c .....)"- any file associated with the error (e.g. "tcpip.sys - Address 0xaa49d9de ...")From your explanation alone it sounds a lot like an issue with (a) your RAM or (b) your graphics card.

Minidumps are the files created during a BSOD which can be analyzed e.g. using the WhoCrashed tool suggested by ha14.If you have noted the error name and STOP code post them here and we can look into it.

Check for the game's supportivity for windows 8... Probably there might be a patch that needs to be installed to make it work with Windows 8.

A little more information about your system would be extremely helpful. What's your graphics card? How much RAM does your system have, and what kind of processor does it use? Did these games previously work fine on the same system with Windows 7?

Do your fans start spinning quite fast just before? If so open your machine and give it a blow-out with compressed air. Dont forget the fan on the graphics card if you have one.Run ha14's little app and let us know how you get on.

There are so many possibilities for bsod it is impossible to guess. It may be a driver, sometimes it is an anti-virus program or some other problem with where it loads items into the memory.Find out the exact code it displays and search for the specific solution online.
