I've uninstalled and reinstalled Java 7 Update several times with both the online and offline versions. The Interactive Broker login results in "Cannot find the jre." There was no problem with Java 7.9.

Is this a problem with only your computer?Try logging in and testing with another computer that you know works (with the same account) to see if the problem is the same on both computers. http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/general/education/faqs/technical.php#misc_cookies

I had not thought of installing the app on another computer. Before receiving your suggestion, I reinstalled the app. It found the jre with no problem. Obviously, the app had been clobbered in some manner. Thanks for your input.- bud -
