My Windows 7 laptop cannot see websites via WiFi. Windows shows that WiFi connection does reach the Internet. I plugged in an Ethernet cable and it works fine... can see websites.

Hi,Connect your laptop with Ethernet and see what IP is your LAN card getting.Write that IP address along with Netmask and default gateway on a piece of paper.Give that IP on your wireless adapter manually and see if the problem persists.RegardsTechSupportForce

One thing to note is that if the QoS (Quality of Service) setting is turned on in the router, then it may cause similar issues. Try going through the different settings in the router to make sure they are set properly, and QoS is turned off.

First I would check if your WiFI adapter gets a proper IP-Address, Gateway and DNS settings.go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centerthen click on the connection name e.g. "Wireless Network Connection 1"this should bring up the details window showing you current IP, GW, etc
