Which speech recognition software for Windows computer do you consider reliable for voice-typing? Reliable implying precise enough to be useful and less errors. It should be compatible with Windows 7 and better if compatible also with Windows xp too.

I'm using Dragon of Nuance. it's worth paying for it. it's version varies from student, professional, legal and medical type. professional version is sufficient and it costs around 13ooo rupees.

As kihara stated, Dragon Naturally Speaking by Nuance is one of the best, if not the best, speech-to-text software on the market. It is compatible with all versions of Windows, Mac OSX, and can even be found in some Android phones and the latest versions of Swype keyboard.Dragon may be costly, but for good reason; it works. There is a training period, and gets better over time. Basically, the main alternative is what is built into Windows, but there are many issues with it, and if words are not pronounced properly or precisely, there will be misspelling issues and lots of frustration. Dragon has fewer issues with this, but there are always limitations with any software. There are very few decent alternatives compared to Dragon, and in my opinion, are not worth the time of finding the software or even trying them out.
