There is a set of training videos for software I use that I want to download to my computer for offline watching and reference. Does anyone know a video capture tool which can download the videos? The videos online are in the following file types: Flash, MP4, WMV.
I tried right clicking and "Saving as" though that did not do the trick.
Thank you,
David

Internet Download Manager is very good for downloading videos from websites. But the problem is that it is not a free software and expires after the trial period is over. The best free video downloading tool is freemake video downloader. i have been using it and it's pretty good, but one problem is that u cannot resume a download if u close the program once.

Yeah it's right but maybe use online downloader is much convenient, no any downloads and setups. There are many grabbers and downloaders online, you can check it. Well I frequently use screen recorder to capture my videos or other screen activity. I used to use Camstudio, but it crashed many times, so i change to use online one named Apowersoft Free Online Screen Recorder, it has no limits and I am using now. Maybe you can cost money to use other online screen recorder to capture your videos. However, i just use it. here is the link http://www.apowersoft.com/free-online-screen-recorder

I highly recommend Internet Download Manager (IDM) it's the best on downloading different format of videos. it's free of use for 15 days. www.internetdownloadmanager.com I've been using it for 3 years already. Whenever i wanted to watch a video for later use, i always download it using this tool. I hope it will solve your problem. ;)

I would recommend purchasing a small disposable camera and taking multiple picture of the video, then staple them together in the reverse order you took the pictures and then flipping through them back to front really really fast.

If you're looking to download the videos directly from websites go with Internet Download Manager (IDM) http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/ I've been using this for more than a year and have never faced any problem when downloading. Feature i liked most about this is that when you visit like youtube you'll be getting a button above the video and you can choose which one you want to download (i.e 720p , 480p, 360*240)..I would also like to mention that I have always used this with Firefox.... so i have no idea if it works with Chrome, IE and opera even though the developers say that it works with all the those browsers......

Under Windows, any video that is online in either MP4 or WMV format, you should be able to simply right-click and 'save as...', at least I have never had a problem with those. For FLV videos, I use Freemake Video Downloader. You could also use RealPlayer. There is also Video DownloadHelper (a Firefox extension) to make it easier to grab (and convert if necessary) videos from webpages you visit. FVD Video Downloader is a similar extension for Chrome (it does not support YouTube downloads).
