Apple announced iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 at the annual WWDC event on June 7, and it's already available for developers to test. With new features like Live Text, SharePlay, and Universal Control, Apple's updated mobile operating systems have a lot to offer.

You're probably wondering if your iPhone or iPad is even capable of running this latest software, expected to release later this year, especially if you own one of the older models.

Release Date for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15

At the moment, there's no exact release date for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. However, Apple has a track record of releasing final versions of iOS and iPadOS alongside the iPhone announcement in the fall. Therefore, it's realistic to expect the latest software to release sometime around September or October.

Having said that, anyone interested in an early hands-on with the new software will be able to try out the public beta.

All you need to do is sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program. Typically, Apple starts public beta testing their software three to four weeks after the first developer seed. All Apple has said so far is that the public Beta will start some time in July.
