I'm going to buy a new Android smartphone below RS (rupee) 30,000. I'm now in a conflict whether to buy the Samsung S4 Mini or HTC Desire 600.
Please suggest alternatives, if possible.

Sorry for late response. But if you still haven't purchased a phone, then you have some choices -Samsung Galaxy Note II,Sony Xperia ZR,LG Optimus G Pro andSamsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.Out of the above, you can get Sony Xperia ZR or LG Optimus G Pro as both have the sufficient hardware to get latest version of Android as well as have decent level of performance.Regarding what you've got stuck into, you can choose Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini as it's better than HTC desire 600.

LG/Nexus 4 has the features of an S3 for a cheaper price, looks are fabulous and also the power is amazing, very smooth phone. I've had it for about 2 months now and not even a small lag whatsoever. I've used a Blackberry and an iPhone 4s in the past and also a Samsung grand but this one phone surpasses all of the phones! Definitely a beast.

Also why don't you checkout the SONY Xperia Z series. Lot of variations like Z, Z1, ZR, Z Ultra, etc. Very impressive, competent range and you would be pleasantly surprised.

Dalsan covered most bases, so I'll not repeat what he said. What I will say, is that once you've looked a feature comparison, you should sit down with a piece of a paper and write down a list of what is most important for YOU. Screen size or quality? Amount of RAM? Speed? Battery life? etc etc. Then look at the models again, and judge them on the bassis of the two or three features that you care most about, and the job's done!

Very difficult decision, and adding my suggestion, the LG Nexus 4, adds a little more difficulty. http://compareindia.in.com/comparison/321702-lg-nexus-4-vs-328592-htc-desire-600-dual-sim-vs-329772-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-gti9192/23 As far as features, the S4 Mini beats out the others, but speed and memory would be the Nexus 4. As far as user ratings, the Nexus 4 has 9.2, Desire 600 has 8.6, and the S4 Mini has 7.6. All very nice phones, but I would go with the Nexus 4. Next choice, for me at least, would be the S4 Mini.

If you are a fan of a brand of products, then by all means go for it. In many ways I think HTC has better quality hardware, especially the casing, compared to many other brands. I love my Samsung Galaxy series phone, but love the feel and quality of the casing that HTC has. Like Oron and I suggest, look at the good, bad, and ugly about each device. But as far as familiarity (that's why for me it would be the S4 Mini), HTC would be a great choice. Samsung has become the "look what I can do better" phone (a blatant stab at iPhone).
