I use an HP Deskjet 3070A, with the official apps and works great, I can even scan directly to my tablet.

Major printer companies have developed there own printer apps for Android. I currently use the Brother app. There is also Printershare which is a paid app. I would also agree Google Cloud Print is the best option because it allows you print through your smartphones data plan.

The easiest way is to use a cloud-ready printer, which will work directly with the cloud.Once the printer is set up, you can print from Chrome normally. For other applciations (on a PC or Mac), or for apps on mobile devices, you need one of the apps in the list Hovsep pointed you to.Since there are not many compatible printers at this stage, Google also allows you to set up cloud-printing via your PC. You connect the PC to the printer as usual, and then add the printers through Chrome (Settings, Advanced, Google Cloud Print=>[Add]. Printing is done in the same way as with compatible printers, except that the PC has to be switched on and connected to the internet. This option is of use ONLY if you want to print from a mobile device, as it is a lot easier (and better, more options etc) to print directly from the PC to the printer!

I'm not sure what you mean, but have a look at the support page on https://support.google.com/cloudprint/ which may have the answer for you.
