I have had good luck with BDlot DVD Clone Ultimate which I got as a freebie last year. Based on the GUI and use it is very similar to WinX DVD Copy. Both are able to remove copy protection without using a secondary program like AnyDVD. Another article I had bookmarked you might find useful is http://www.dvdcopyplanet.com/free-dvd-copying-software.html

I dont know if it is legal for DVD copy. I used AppGeeker for myself. there are many of DVD tools available for DVD copy, convert, burn and more.I dont always use that, only for some specific need when i need to deal with my DVD.

Dvd Shrink is great for converting dvd's into a smaller file size while keeping much of the quality and the features you want, as in menus and extras. It clones the dvd's. WinX DVD Ripper works well (I had the Platinum edition that they had given away free keys to), it's easy to use, and gives many options to convert the dvd's into, like smartphone formats, game system formats, and DVD for format (Platinum edition).

Personally, I use MacX DVD Ripper Pro and have never had any problems ripping a movie, although I make entire ISO images of the discs so I always have the extras, menus, etc. So far, it hasn't run into problems with regards to copy protection on any of my DVDs.
