Try Perfectdisk thats my favorite for years now only because you can feel the quick responsiveness of youir system as soon as it is done with defrag.

HiYou really don't need to waste money on buying defragment software, windows comes with one under the admin tools. It works extremely good, I had an old computer that was slow and so I defragged it and it made it much much faster.

There are some topics here on makeuseof.com- http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/defragging-software-windows-7/- http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/3-excellent-defrag-utilities-defragment-2012-si/ (already mentioned by ha14).I would advise you to try them out on your own (Voila! - the best way to find out which is the best for you). Personally, I find defragmentation over-rated. I know people who suffer because they don't need to defragment a SSD :)

I would highly recommend Piriform's Defraggler. It is absolutely free and very dependable. http://www.piriform.com/defraggler

I understand that, dragonmouth. But that doesn't explain why Defraggler takes a lot longer than other defragging tools I've tested with similar levels of fragmentation. Perhaps it's more thorough, but the OP deserved to know that it isn't a fast process.

Windows Vista, 7 and 8 have the built in defragger working automatically. It's actually the defragger made by one of the commercial companies. If you have any of those OSes I think that's really all you need. One thing also to say is remember to never defrag an SSD! Windows Vista - 8 seems to know this though so not to worry.
