The Google Nest ecosystem is one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly home automation platforms on the market. While the ecosystem has a lot to offer, some key products are still missing that would make it even more powerful.

From convenient gadgets to security features, here are a few products that would make the Google Nest ecosystem even better.

1. Nest Smart Plug

Nest already has a smart thermostat and a smoke detector, but the company is missing a key piece of the home automation puzzle: a smart plug. A Nest Smart Plug would allow users to control any plugged-in device from their phone, whether it's a lamp, coffee maker, or TV.

This would be a great addition to the Nest ecosystem, making it even more convenient and user-friendly.

Although there are already some third-party Nest-compatible smart plugs on the market, it would be great to see an official Nest product. No one knows the Nest ecosystem better than Google, so an official product would likely be more reliable and user-friendly.

2. Nest Smart Light Kit

What good is a home automation system if it doesn't include smart lights? Google Nest users have to rely on third-party products like Philips Hue or other alternatives for their smart lighting needs.

While some great third-party options are available, it would be nice to see an official Google Nest light kit. Such a product would likely be more reliable and user-friendly than its third-party counterparts.

Having a smart light system is becoming increasingly popular, so it's surprising that Google Nest doesn't already offer an official solution. The convenience and energy savings that smart lights provide are too great to ignore.

From a security standpoint, having an official Google Nest light kit would also be helpful. Smart lights can deter burglars and other intruders while you're away from home, and it would be great to have an official product that offers this peace of mind.

3. Nest Smart Light Bulb

If a Nest Smart Light Kit is too much for you, then a Nest Smart Light Bulb might be a better option. These connect to your home's Wi-Fi and can be controlled with your voice, phone, or Google Home app.

There are plenty of advantages of smart bulbs over regular led bulbs. Not only can you save money on your energy bill, but you can also enjoy features like scheduling, remote control, and automatic dimming.

The smart light bulb market is already pretty saturated, but it would still be great to see an official Nest product. Google has a lot of experience with artificial intelligence and voice control, so an official Nest product would likely be more user-friendly than its competitors.

4. Nest Home Security System

The Google Nest ecosystem is already pretty secure, but it could be even better with a Nest Home Security System.

Although Google discontinued the Nest Secure home security system in 2020, it would be great to see a new and improved version in the future. This led to a market opportunity for other home security companies, but it would be great to see Google re-enter the market with a Nest-branded product.

With Nest x Yale Lock, Nest Cam, and Nest Doorbell, the Google Nest ecosystem already has a strong foundation for a security system.

However, a Nest Home Security System could be a great addition to the ecosystem with improved features and a lower price point than the system.

There are already a lot of reasons to consider a Google Home security system, and a Nest Home Security System could make it even better.

5. Nest Smart Garage Door Opener

Smart Garage Door

What's a home automation ecosystem without a smart garage door opener? A Nest Smart Garage Door Opener would allow users to control their garage door from their phone, schedule opening and closing times, and even set up motion-activated lighting.

This would be a great addition to the Nest ecosystem for obvious reasons. It would make life more convenient and add an extra layer of security to your home.

With just a few taps on your phone, you could open your garage door to let a delivery person in or close it if you forgot to before leaving for work. You could even set it up to open automatically when you get home.

Although this feature is not currently available, there are some third-party garage door openers that work with the Nest ecosystem.

6. Nest Smart Garden Water Faucet

Are you tired of watering your garden by hand? No problem. Google already handles your home automation, so why not your garden too?

A Nest Smart Garden Water Faucet would allow users to control their garden hoses from their phones, schedule watering times, and even check the moisture levels of their plants. This would be a great addition to the Nest ecosystem, making gardening more convenient and user-friendly.

With most people leading busy lives, finding the time to water your plants every day can be hard. This product would make it easy to set up a watering schedule and forget about it.

Plus, you could even set it up to turn on automatically if the moisture levels in your plants drop below a certain point. A Nest Smart Garden Water Faucet would be a great addition to any green thumb's arsenal.

7. Nest Smart Robot

Who doesn't love a good robot? A Nest Smart Robot would be a great addition to the ecosystem, providing users with another level of convenience.

Similar to the Amazon Astro, the Nest Smart Robot would be a voice-controlled assistant that roams your home to answer questions, play music, and control your other Google products.

This would be a great addition to the ecosystem for obvious reasons. It would make life more convenient and add an extra layer of security to your home.

Making Google Nest a More Complete Ecosystem

From smart light bulbs to a robot assistant, there are many products that could be added to the Nest ecosystem. Google has a lot of experience in the home automation space, so we're confident that the company will continue to release new and innovative products in the future.

The Google Nest ecosystem is already pretty complete, but there is always room for improvement. We can't wait to see what Google comes up with next.
