GTA Online has stood the test of time, staying active as a live service game for almost a decade. Despite its age, it still attracts hundreds of thousands of active players with no sign of its popularity waning.

Rockstar has recently announced its new subscription model called GTA+, providing a new way for you to feel like a premium member of the game, with rewards and benefits associated that free-to-play players will not enjoy.

What Is GTA+?

GTA+ is a new paid subscription service available for players on Playstation 5 and Xbox One Series X/S that offers subscribers in-game rewards, extra money, new gameplay features, and more.

If you still play GTA Online regularly and own either the PS5 or Series X/S, you're exactly who the subscription service targets. Rockstar is doing its best to entice old players to return to the live-service game. So, if you're in the mood to give it a shot, give yourself a new Rockstar Social Club name and jump back in.

How Much Does GTA+ Cost?

GTA + costs $5.99 a month, and you'll need to have a copy of Grand Theft Auto V or GTA Online. The price is standard for monthly gaming subscriptions, but you may want to weigh up whether the benefits are worth the price tag.

What Does GTA+ Offer?

GTA+ will give members $500,000 a month to their in-game Maze Bank accounts and an assortment of other benefits that will change month to month. The first month's rewards include:

  • The Principe Deveste Eight vehicle ahead of its release to the whole player base, along with two unique liveries for the vehicle.
  • The La Mesa Auto Shop, which comes with it new gameplay features for you to use. You can transfer your Auto Shop to La Mesa for free.
  • LS Car Meet Membership fee reimbursed ($50,000 in-game).
  • A free upgrade for yacht owners to the Aquarius Super Yacht.
  • The Gusset Frog Tee and Broker Prolaps Basketball Top clothing items.
  • A livery for the Mammoth Avenger, HVY APC, and TM-02 Khanjali vehicles.
  • A selection of free paints and emblems for the Auto Shop.
  • 3X rates on money and RP on Hao's Special Works Race Series.
  • 2X Car Meet Rep on the Street Race Series.
  • Bonus cash from GTA+ Shark Cards on the PS5 and Microsoft Stores.

Rockstar seems to be delivering a fair bit of content for the price tag, but time will tell whether players believe it's good value for money. GTA Online's vast open-world setting can feel a bit overwhelming, but the benefits offered in GTA + should make your experience smoother.

However, if you're on the fence about subscribing to GTA+, it's always a good idea to wait a couple of months and gauge the fan consensus on the subscription. Rockstar's pricing for GTA+ seems reasonable, considering Fortnite Crew and Fallout 1st memberships launched with a $12.99 price tag.

How to Subscribe to GTA+ (and How to Cancel)

If you're looking to subscribe to GTA +, follow these steps:

  1. Open the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store, depending on your console.

  3. For GTA+, select Turn Off Auto-Renew.

Xbox

  3. Select Cancel Subscription for GTA+.
