the easiest way to get your movies onto your TV may be to directly plug your computer into your set. Many computers come with video boards that output via S-Video, DVI (digital video interface) or even HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface). If your television has an input that matches your computer's video output, then you can simply plug one into the other and enable your television as a second display through Windows Control Panel or, on a Mac, System Preference.Stream on mac an Apple TV device, which will work with iTunes movies. These systems work best over an Ethernet connection or a Wireless G or N connection of at least 54 megabits per second. http://www.apple.com/appletv/?aosid=p204&siteid=1503186&program_id=2554&cid=OAS-EMEA-AFF&tduid=b8b127eb36ef9fee959e941adec56bf4How to watch movies on TV using Mac with Mini DisplayPorthttp://www.ehow.com/how_5335075_watch-using-mac-mini-displayport.html

The easiest and safest option is to connect the TV to your Mac via a display adapter and proper cable.Other options highly depend on the features and support of your TV and devices connected to it. For example if your TV or Set Top Box is network enabled and supports DLNA/UPnP you could setup such a server on your Mac and access the movie via this service. However not all file formats are supported.PS3 Media Serverhttp://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/TwonkyServerhttp://www.twonkyvision.de/
