My 2005 Toshiba P105-S6024 laptop has no sound or so little it's now inaudible.

I've disabled mute and increased every volume control I could find to max. Help, please.

You could also try reinstalling the audio driver. The problem is is that this could be happening for any number of reasons. Not enough info to narrow it down and listing every possible explanation and possible solution would be tedious. Good Luck

Have you tried connecting headphones or external speakers to test if the problem is due to the built-in speakers? It's possible that your laptop's sound card is dying. If it is, you won't hear anything even with headphones. You can easily get replacement USB/PCMCIA/ExpressCard sound cards from Creative.http://www.soundblaster.com/products/
