I get emails sometimes and I can not view the attachment because it says that I don't have the program required to open it. Is there another way to view them?

I had the same situation, VLC is a must have for all Macs, and I have yet to come across a video it cannot play. Plus, it's free! Here's a link to where you can download it: http://download.cnet.com/VLC-Media-Player/3000-2139_4-10210434.html?tag=mncol;2

It would be good to know what file types you are referring to. With the exception of .exe (executable file) and .dll (Dynamic-link library) files I can't think of any other file type which is limited to Windows only.In most cases you just need to have the proper Application installed in order to open and or view the attachments.
