What Is VGMTogether?
A great VGM score can really add to the immersion of a video game. VGMTogether's organizers know this, so that is why they've curated an online celebration of the diverse genre.
So, no matter what your interest in video game music, make sure you've got March 12th-14th available. That's when VGMTogether will bring a broad range of artists and speakers from across the game music spectrum to entertain and educate.
What Can You Expect From VGMTogether?
As mentioned, there will be plenty of VGM producers and artistes on hand to wow you with their sonic talents. There will also be many seminars to attend. These vary in scope, with topics open for discussion including copyrighting your productions, designing games around music, how to break into VGM as a new artist, gamers Yoga, and even a beatboxing 101! Who Is VGMTogether For?
With a focus on diversity, we'd hedge our bets and say that VGMTogether is an inclusive event. That means anyone can attend, and with such variety on offer, there should be something for everyone here. The event looks particularly well curated.
If you simply like video game music, then it is pretty much a given that you should attend. There aren't many events dedicated to solely to VGM, so this should definitely be on your radar. There is a fairly full-to-bursting roster of talented artists ready to perform.
Likewise, if you produce video game music, then you can pick up some great tips from industry experts across a range of topics. That's what the panels are for, to give professionals the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge.
