It's a Dell Dimension 2200, and it's got a 'coppermine' 1.1, which, according to Google, seems to be a 'socket 370'.

Is there a possible cheap straight swap, likely used from eBay ?

Sounds like it's time for a new computer. You can get the tower relatively cheap from Microcenter or Tigerdirect. Both places sell decent machines for around $300

The fastest 370-socketed Celeron (according to http://mysite.verizon.net/pchardwarelinks/586.htm) is the Celeron 1.4G (Tualatin) which was introduced in 2002. It is rated about 50% faster than your celeron. There's also a Pentium III 1.4G which will be very slightly faster.Although these should fit, there's never a guarantee with such upgrades, especially as the 370s were prone to cracking due to excess pressure, so I'd advise you against such an upgrade.
