How do American computer engineers work, what kind of software do they use? Is there any software available that I can format a machine

or image restoration from my computer to other computers on a different network?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you asking about disk cloning applications that you can use to back-up, format, and restore disk image? We have articles regarding this topic, such as:http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-ways-to-clone-and-copy-your-hard-drive/http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/free-advanced-hard-drive-cloning-solution-from-clonezilla/http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/3-remarkable-file-recovery-tools/http://www.makeuseof.com/tags/backup/And many other. Just do a site search here. Hopefully one of them could help.

Vicky,I'd imagine that engineers use a lot of math/physics and diagramming programs. I'm not sure where you can find these as I bet they are quite expensive, but maybe you can find some open source alternatives. Just search MUO for these types of applications.
