My Twitter login/home page opens differently in Google Chrome all of the time. I've attached some screenshots.

Nothing at all to worry about, just a little flavor that Twitter has introduced with their upgraded design and platform. Hackers are after more nefarious things, not showing you awesome splash screens.

Why would that be hacked? It's quite common for companies to show a different launch screen to visitors who aren't logged in. Lots of other services do the same.
