I even purchased the full version of a couple of themes to see if that would make a difference. I use Go Launcher Ex and only download themes that the page says are compatible with my Nook Color-android device.

Nook doen't comes with android and so the stock Android screen onyour rooted Nook Color is setto the density of 169.33333.Since this is not related toscreen resolution which ishardware based - it is something that you can easily modify to make the screen icons and menus bigger - tolook more like the Galaxy Tab. This fix requires Root Explorer. It is not a free app - but worthevery penny (now you can also get some torrents of it) . When you openRoot Explorer, you'll need tomake the file writable byclicking on the Mount R/W button at the top of the page.To do this mod open RootExplorer, Click on System. From there, click on the buttonat the top of the page tochange Mount R/O to Mount R/ W. From there long hold onthe build.prop file. You shouldnow see a menu - click on Openin Text Editor. The keyboardwill also pop up when youopen this file. Scroll down to two lines: ro.sf.lcd_density.xdpi=169.33333 andunder it ro.sf.lcd_density.ypdi=169.3333. Place a # sign at the beginning of each of these lines. The # sign in front of the line of text deactivates the line. Three lines up from there should see a line with ro.sf.lcd_density=250 orsomething close to this number. Remove the # sign from the beginning of this line. You can try different numbersand choose what works bestfor you. Then click the menukey and then click on Save andExit. Press the home key to get back to your home screen. After that all you need to do isreboot your Nook. The Nook screen icons will bemuch bigger now as well asthe Nook menu bar at thebottom of the screen. But it may cut off some parts but my friend's Nook didn't do. I've also remapped the volumekeys - volume up is now menuand volume down is the backkey. I installed volumer++ to control volume and the hellostatus bar app and placed iconsfor both on the home screen.Hello status bar allows you tosee your notifications. This mod is totally reversible.Just remove the # signs fromthe ro.sf.lcd_density.xdpi=169.33333 andro.sf.lcd_density.ypdi=169.3333and ADD the # sign back in front of the ro.sf.lcd_density=250 line. Save andreboot. Good Luck and Enjoy! I trust this method by 98% cz it all happened for my friend's Nook color...For more help check this linkhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=889951
