As the number of streaming services grows, more streaming bundles are emerging. These streaming bundles offer access to content from various different sources, all for a reduced price.

There's the Disney Bundle, AMC+, and Paramount+, all of which are vying for your hard-earned money in the form of a monthly subscription. But which of these streaming media bundles is best?

Bundled Services and Channels

With so many services and channels combining into bundles at lowered price points, it’s hard to know which one will best suit your needs. So, to start you on your journey, this is what the Disney Bundle, AMC+, and Paramount+ have to offer...

The Disney Bundle

The Disney Bundle consists of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Disney+ is a much-revered service, due to the Disney company’s holdings on so many big-name entertainment and franchise giants, including Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.

Disney+ streams a massive amount of content from all of these sources, along with original shows and movies that are considered canon to the aforementioned fictional universes, such as The Mandalorian and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The service is branded as family-friendly, but (outside of the US) Disney+ also offers R-rated content under its Star banner. There are no sports or seasons of network shows currently on the air. But this is where Disney’s ownership of Hulu and majority ownership of ESPN come in handy.

The Disney Bundle allows subscribers to get their fill of more adult-oriented fare and currently airing shows from one of the biggest over-the-top streaming services available today. Hulu also has a host of popular originals, including The Handmaid’s Tale and Castle Rock.

As far as sports programming goes, ESPN+ more than has you covered. The service includes select live NHL, NBA, MLB, and MLS games, PGA golf, Top Rank Boxing, and Grand Slam tennis matches.

College sports are also featured, as well as the United Soccer League, cricket, rugby, Canadian Football League, English Football League, and UEFA Nations League games. And finally, the service provides viewership of combat sports, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Top Rank boxing.

AMC+

AMC+ includes the best licensed movies and original programming from AMC, such as The Walking Dead and Mad Men, all completely ad free. Other content wrapped up in this bundle are the complete collections of IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder, and Sundance Now, as well as select offerings from BBC America.

IFC and Sundance specialize in indie and arthouse films, while Shudder features a large stable of horror movies and shows. Shudder’s offerings include hits like The Babadook, N0S4A2, and The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Brigg. All three brands also offer the occasional original show or movie, such as Shudder’s Creepshow and Sundance’s Rectify.

Unfortunately, there is some stand-out content originating from these brands that aren’t included in AMC+. These include the uber-popular Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Documentary Now.

Paramount+

Paramount+ combines the holdings of CBS and Viacom to offer more than 30,000 TV episodes and over 2,500 movies. Networks under the Paramount+ umbrella include BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and the Smithsonian Channel. As such, a slew of popular programming exists on Paramount+, such as The Amazing Race, Love Island, Jersey Shore, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Drake and Josh.

The service also has a growing number of originals, including 60 Minutes+ and upcoming shows such as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Halo. Additionally, Paramount+ comes with a live stream of your local CBS network.

Winner: The Disney Bundle, hands-down. Disney+’s premium content combined with the astonishing amount of programming and movies on Hulu leaves no room for competition here. And if you’re a sports fan, ESPN+ is just the icing on the cake.

Accessibility

The Disney Bundle, AMC+, and Paramount+ all differ in terms of what devices they're available on. Here's what you need to know.

The Disney Bundle

Disney+ streaming devices

The Disney Bundle is only available in the United States. For the time being, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ must be downloaded as separate apps, and watched independently of each other, but there are plans to integrate ESPN+ into Hulu.

All three services work on almost all devices, including iPhones, iPads, Android devices, Amazon Fire tablets, computers, most Smart TVs, and the major gaming consoles.

AMC+

AMC+ streaming availability

AMC+ is also only available in the United States. The service is available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Xfinity, DirecTV, Dish, Roku, and Sling TV. Unfortunately, there is currently no stand-alone AMC+ app for iOS or Android, so the only way to watch on your phone is through your service provider’s app.

Paramount+

Paramount+ streaming availability

Unlike the previous two bundles, Paramount+ is currently available in the United States, Canada, Nordic European countries, and many countries in Latin America. Further expansions are planned.

Paramount+ is supported on most devices, including Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Android TV, Android phones and tablets, most gaming consoles, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Portal TV, Google Chromecast, Xfinity Flex, most Smart TVs, and computers.

Winner: With no International availability and lack of stand-alone apps, The Disney Bundle and AMC+ lose out to Paramount+ this round.

Price

Price is one of the most important factors when it comes to choosing a streaming bundle. Here's how the Disney Bundle, AMC+, and Paramount+ compare.

The Disney Bundle

Disney Bundle pricing

The Disney Bundle is offered at three separate pricing tiers, depending on which version of Hulu you select. With Hulu Basic, the bundle is $13.99/month.

That’s a savings of approximately $6/month as compared to signing up for each service independently. The Disney Bundle with ad-free Hulu is $19.99/month, and with Hulu + Live TV, it’s $72.99/month. There is no free trial available with any of these.

AMC+

AMC+ on Roku pricing

AMC+ costs a straight $8.99/month. Since there are no ads on the basic service, nor options for live TV, there are no further pricing tiers. AMC+ does offer a seven-day free trial.

Paramount+

Paramount+ pricing

Paramount+ comes at two pricing tiers: the limited commercial version, which costs $5.99/month or $59.99/year, and the ad-free version, which costs $9.99/month or $99.99/year. A seven-day free trial is available.

Winner: For pure affordability, Paramount+ with limited commercials is the cheapest, but for a couple more dollars per month, AMC+ is the better value with ad-free service.

The Disney Bundle vs. AMC+ vs. Paramount+: The Verdict

If you can afford it, the Disney Bundle has the most to offer by far, with tons of content across Disney+ and Hulu, including original movies and series stemming from the most popular franchises in Hollywood.

And if you’re a sports nut, the included ESPN+ is a must-have. There’s even a live TV option if you don’t mind shelling out even more cash.

For those on a budget, AMC+ and Paramount+ offer options at nearly half the price of the Disney Bundle.

The major difference between these two will depend on whether you’re more interested in premium films and shows featured by AMC and Shudder, or you're more of a network television person, who will appreciate the content and live CBS offered by Paramount+.
