Amazon has added Zoom support to the third-gen Echo Show 10. This means you'll be able to use the smart display for attending video calls and meetings on Zoom.

You can also use Alexa on your Echo Show 10 to join or start a new Zoom meeting. You will have to link your Zoom account with Alexa using the Alexa app on your smartphone first.

Zoom Comes to the Amazon Echo Show 10

You can automate the process of joining Zoom video calls on your Echo Show 10 by linking your calendar and Zoom account to Alexa. The Zoom calendar entries must contain the meeting ID and passcode for this though.

Alexa can automatically read these details and join the Zoom meeting. You can ask "Alexa, join my Zoom meeting" or "Alexa, join my meeting" for this. SlashGear reports that since the third-gen Echo Show 10 features a motorized base, the base will rotate to track and keep you in focus when on a video call.

The smaller Echo Show 8 already had support for Zoom calls.

Apart from Zoom, Amazon has also added support for Amazon Chime. This is the company's teleconferencing platform intended for businesses and enterprises. You will be able to say "Alexa, join my Chime meeting" to join a video meeting provided all the details are added to your calendar.

Your Amazon Echo Show 10 will automatically update itself, which will add support for both Zoom and Chime. Apart from these two, Echo Show 10 also supports Alexa Calling and Skype for video calls.

YouTube Support Is Still Missing

The addition of Zoom to the Echo Show 10 will definitely increase its usefulness, though the smart display still lacks a dedicated YouTube app. Some of the other streaming apps that are available on the Echo Show include Prime Video, Tubi, Netflix, and Hulu.
