With COVID-19 still impacting our lives in various ways, parents will be desperate for ways to keep their kids entertained at home. Parents with an Amazon Fire TV can now install the YouTube Kids app and leave their offspring watching their favorite YouTubers.

Amazon revealed that YouTube Kids is now available on Amazon Fire TV in a post on the Fire TV Blog. As well as YouTube Kids, Amazon recommends Prime Video, FreeTime Unlimited, PBS Kids, and the SEGA app for families keen to stay entertained.

What Is YouTube Kids?

YouTube Kids is a standalone app that offers a family-friendly version of YouTube. A mix of automatic filters and human review is used to ensure the videos are suitable for children. And parents are able to set the age range and limit screen time, etc.

Neither YouTube or YouTube Kids was available on Amazon Fire TV for some time due to a spat between Google and Amazon. But with that spat now sorted, you can watch Amazon Prime Video on your Chromecast, and YouTube and YouTube Kids on your Fire TV.
