Are you taking a trip? If so, then check out an interactive travel guide, complete with maps. TripWhat is an iPhone and web app dedicated to showing you where to find food, fun and festivities in any city across North America, which is perfect for travelers.
With content pulled in from “WikiVoyage, SeatGeek, Google Maps, Facebook, Yelp, UrbanSpoon, Wikipedia, Last.fm, and official websites for different attractions, restaurants and events”, to quote the site’s About page, TripWhat aims to be a one-stop-shop for travelers looking for things to do in new places.
Just search for a city and you can start exploring, using either the map on the left or the lists on the right. There are three categories: Activities, Restaurants and Entertainment – click any of these three and you’ll be shown what’s where. There are also, in some cities, lists of attractions tied by a theme – for example, breweries in Denver.
Not every city offers lists like this, so don’t be surprised if you can’t find any in your current location. It’s also worth noting that the service doesn’t point to every restaurant in every city, but for a growing service you’ll find a variety of things worth checking out in most major cities across North America (the service is for now limited to cities in the USA and Canada).
