You’ve probably heard of Audible a hundred times from Amazon advertisements or sponsored YouTube videos, but it deserves its place as the premier audiobook service. While you can find free audiobooks elsewhere, Audible’s selection is simply unbeatable.
What scares many away from Audible is the price. The standard Gold plan costs $15 per month and gives you one credit for any audiobook of your choice each month. You can also buy any audiobook from Audible, but they’re usually more expensive than $15, making the subscription worth the price.
If you want to start listening to audiobooks but think one per month is too much, Audible’s secret Silver plan might be right for you.
@xDaniel We have a Silver Plan that gives you a credit every other month at $14.95. Email us at email@example.com for more info.

Audible doesn’t advertise the Silver plan for some reason, but it’s an active option. Silver costs $15 — and awards one credit — every two months instead of every month. Silver plans still get membership benefits like 30% discounts on every audiobook, the Great Listen Guarantee that lets you return any book you aren’t satisfied with, and up to six credits rolled over.
If you only listen to audiobooks occasionally, one book every two months will be perfect for you.
You’ll have to reach out to customer support to switch to the Silver plan. First, sign up for a free trial if you haven’t already, then head to the Audible Customer Service page and click My Account > Change or cancel my membership > Upgrade/downgrade my membership. You can connect with Support via chat, phone or email — chat is the most convenient. Mention that you’d like to switch to the Silver plan and they should get everything set up with no problem.
I've successfully signed up for Audible's Silver Plan, which is one credit every other month. This option isn't on their website, of course.
