    The RPM specs are wrong. They are often 5400, not 3600 RPM.

    I read the article looking for clues about what makes one of my hard disk tick, as in "it sometimes it makes a ticking noise", not as in "how does it works".
    All hard drive diagnostic utilities show good health and I have backups, but it still worries me.

    You can tell this infographic is British: Hard drive platters are made of "glass or aluminium." :)
