SOCADIA [Broken URL Removed] – Complete Catalog

Genre: alternative, electronic, pop, rock

From their Homepage: Los Angeles based SOCADIA [so-KAY-dee-uh] is dark, electronic rock with emotional lifts – driven by pulsing rhythms, insistent guitars and healthy layers of synths, and topped by vocals oozing with dirty lust and passionate pleas.

SOCADIA’s Complete Catalog is a free download from Bandcamp.

CONDeNSE – Blue Sky

Genre: alternative, rock, pop

From their Bandcamp profile: CONDeNSE is a mosaic of a very different kind of people, that are coming from a totally different backgrounds and skills, which make the band a furnace, just like Israel with all the cultural colors blending together every day.

Blue Sky is a name your price download from Bandcamp.

EP: Carroll – Needs

Genre: indie, pop, rock, shoegaze

From their Facebook page: Carroll was a twinkle in your father’s eye. Carroll was your grandmother’s name and the street you grew up on. Carroll is the combined effort of people who eat, sleep, and dream in close proximity to one another. They stopped running away from Pop and instead invited it in for a snack in a house made of candy, only to lock it in a cage and fatten it up for their own devices. If their sound is anything, it’s eerie warmth- a Minnesota winter that barely goes below zero.

Needs is a name your price download from Bandcamp.

Syberia – Drawing a Future

Genre: experimental, instrumental, rock, post rock

From their Bandcamp profile: It is said that the name of the coldest area in Russia comes from the Turkish words for “asleep land”. Anyhow, Syberia instrumental rock music gives off such a warmth and instrumental intensity that they attracted our attention from the very first minute. Dreamy passages and explosions of real magic.

Clouded Son – December

Genre: alternative, indie, lo-fi, pop, rock

From Clouded Son’s Bandcamp profile: Clouded Son is what Robert Morris Jones calls his recordings. There’s no real reason behind it anymore. Robert used to live in Memphis, TN. Now he lives in North Little Rock, AR. There may or may not be a band one day. It all depends.

December is a free download from Bandcamp.

EP: Vandel – Existence

Genre: alternative, new wave, rock, gothic rock, post-punk

From their Facebook profile: In 2008 Rob and Marco decided to start a band with its goal to create something different, an alternative new wave band inspired by the famous 80s. (…) Vandel combines the styles new wave and rock, creating a dark pleasant feeling such as the Cure, Joy division and the Sound. The lyrics reflect the lives we see around us with the gut feeling that something is terribly wrong in this world of deceit.

Existence is a free download from Zorck Factory Records.

Uppercut – Selftitled

Genre: instrumental, math rock, post rock, stoner rock

Uppercut recommend listening their music at high volumes to appreciate all the finer details. The three boys from Ourense, Spain fuse post-rock melodies with math rock, forming a dense stoner sound.
