How would you compare the popularity of websites? With their online traffic, of course. This simple fact has been used in a very creative way by a developer called Ruslan Enikeev. The developer has created a map of circles that represents the entire Internet. This map is appropriately titled The Internet Map.

The Internet Map is a website which acts as an interactive map of circles in which each circle represents a website. The size of a circle is determined by its traffic and popularity whereas the distance between circles is determined by people who get to one site from another. You can zoom into the map to make the names of circles appear. You can also type in the name of a website and simply be taken to it.

Website owners will find this a very fun tool to see how their websites stack up against others.
