    Two additions. As well as speaking slowly, have a word you can use instead of 'um' or 'er' (e.g. 'now ...' or 'well ...' ) and practice saying it and shutting up until you have formed the next sentence in your mind. As for gestures, practice them in front of a mirror until they come naturally, try to keep them at chest to shoulder height to keep focus on your face, and decide where your idle hand will be and practice keeping it there instead of behind your back or in a pocket.
