Having a flat ass doesn't hurt, but flat feet do. I can walk for hours, but standing still for more than 15 minutes and it dont feel pleasant. I couldn't imagine having a job i like and walking in to a standing workplace, and would have to quit, if anything because i would be made to feel likea failure cause i have to sit.
Because we all know before the invention of the chair in 1883 no one sat for long durations . It is amazing that baskets, making skins for the tribe, and all other activities were all done standing. I mean look at all the walking monkeys. I wish they all would sit down.
For me, having a work place where i can get up as i please...
Anyway, walking around in synthetics embedded with nano particles, and drinking water out of plastics, handling bpa covered receipts, breathing formaldehyde fumes through out the day at work/shopping/home/driving eating chemical/fat /sugar laden foods with unpronounceable ingredients, 3/4 of us over 40 consuming "Medicines" with no knowledge of long term generational effects, and the radiator ion from that tablet on your chest /notebook on you lap/6in phone to your brain.... Well, of course we could go on, but to think that sitting is killing us... I think that is the least of our worries... God, rants feel great one in awhile.

It's still better than sitting! I have been trying to switch to standing desk lately and found it really helpful. I stopped having back pain and overall became more productive.

        "I stopped having back pain"

So did I but now my feet hurt constantly.

        "overall became more productive."

What do you do, piece work? Or do you work for one of those shops that pay by the line of code?
