Love is in the air. Valentine's Day is upon us once again and it's time to show your loved one how much you care by taking them out for some overpriced food in an over-filled restaurant. If you're feeling extra brave, you could even try throwing a prank in there.

Then again, Valentine's Day is about more than commercialism and fancy chocolates. Believe it or not, there is a deeper, more emotional side to the day!

If you're struggling to find the true meaning of Valentine's Day, the web can help. Here are three sites to get you in the mood for the most romantic day of the year.

1. Locks of Love

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization. It provides wigs and hairpieces to children who have lost their hair through illness.

You can donate your hair as long as it's at least 10 inches long and cut off in either a ponytail or a braid. You can also donate financially using the form on the charity's website.

2. Paperless Post

Why do you need to destroy the environment just to tell your other half how special they are? Would it not make more sense to show your love by saving the environment, thus protecting the planet for your future generations?

There are lots of great ecard websites, but Paperless Post is one of our favorites. It offers a large selection of cards with an option to pre-program delivery for the day itself.

3. Groupon

Who are we trying to kid? You going to spoil your partner, aren't you?

If you want to really impress your spouse, Groupon is always an excellent place to start. The site offers a fantastic array of activities at highly competitive prices.

And although we know you'd never have forgotten it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, it also happens to be a great last-minute way to buy a gift.
