Shade: Pull A Temporary Cover On The Clutter Created By Your Desktop Icons

TehseenBaweja 15-09-2012

Shade is an OS X application that provides Mac users help in the regularly needed but mundane task of keeping their desktops clutter-free. The good thing is that the app does not move your saved files and folders anywhere, but draws a cover on them that hides all the desktop items for the time being. The entire process of hiding your desktop is only a click away as Shade covers it with an image of your choice. All you need to do before activating the ‘shade’ is to choose an image from your collection (or download one) and drag it toward the app’s icon on your menu bar.

Whenever you need to clear your desktop and focus on a clutter-free interface, all you need to do is to click on the leaf shaped Shade icon on the menu bar. Clicking the icon again will reveal your desktop icons again.
