While Google goes for a simple aesthetic, Bing likes to show you a cool new image each day.

To do so takes just a few simple steps.

Developer whizzzkid has provided instructions on his GitHub for running his script. The Terminal commands below will add his repo and install the software, which changes your wallpaper to the Bing image each day:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:whizzzkid/bingwallpaper
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bingwallpaper

If you don’t want to use this method, the developer has also created an easy installer to run [No Longer Available] instead. The app runs at startup and keeps the wallpapers in your ~/Pictures/Bing folder.

Of course, those who hate Microsoft probably won’t want to disgrace their Linux desktops with anything having to do with them. If you can get over this, however, you’ll find some great wallpapers.
