Project Gutenberg is the oldest and largest producer of free and public domain ebooks (electronic books). The site has over 25.000 of free ebooks in its catalog and boasts over 3 million ebook downloads a month. There are books for everyone here, including many classics such as Shakespeare. Majority of books available in text, mobile and audio formats.

You can search books by author name, title and even search within the contents of the book. Or if you are not sure where to start then you might want to check out top 100 most downloaded books for the previous day.
