The function of the application is to help you get customized RSS feeds that can be filtered using a variety of criteria that includes keywords as well as the popularity of the feed entries. But before you move onto the customized feeds features, you can use the web service as a very handy feed reader by subscribing to the feeds already present on the site.
In order to being using the website, you must first create an account on it; this can be done either by providing your email address or by signing in through one of your social networking accounts. You can then begin subscribing to the many popular websites that are shown on the site. The left pane lists the feeds along with their subscribe buttons. As you click on these buttons, the corresponding feed entries and updated and showed immediately in the right pane.
But apart from this feature, PingIt offers it very special feed customization features. This enables you to create ‘probes’ that are essentially customized RSS feed filters. You can create a probe by specifying multiple RSS feeds, keywords to search for entries, and popularity measures such as Facebook and YouTube popularity.
