PDF Compressor: Batch Compress PDF Files Quickly To Save Space

Tim Brookes 13-11-2012

PDF Compressor is a small and lightweight Windows program that compresses PDF files using lossless technology, without destroying the quality. From the simple UI you can compress web-ready PDF documents to save space on disk, in cloud storage services like Dropbox and when space is tight in that all-important email.

The app supports batch processing of thousands of documents at once, including encrypted PDFs. The app even comes touch-ready with big, finger-friendly buttons for those using Windows 8 though due to the fact that it runs in “desktop” mode, this app is unfortunately not compatible with Surface/Windows RT.

  • Simple UI that supports batch processing.
  • Convert thousands of documents at once, even those that have been encrypted.
  • Lossless compression maintains quality but reduces file size.
  • Drag and drop interface and touch-friendly interface.

I stumbled upon this post, it's absolutely helpful. I'd also recommend Acethinker PDF Converter which I have used for many years. It's a free web-based application to compress PDF, you don't have to install anything. Share it here as an alternative solution.

I too downloaded the free version & tried to compress an 18mb .pdf. The output file was the same size as the input file! I also sent a query to the support address twice - no reply!

I installed this software and tried to compress PDF files. It could not reduce even a single byte.
I tried to Unistall the software, but it doesnt allow me to unintall either. It keep saying "system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". I doubt if this is virus or malware trying to get your passwords, other info hacked using key loggers or somesort. I was very disappointed by this software and had to done syste restore to get my PC back to where it was.

Hope this will help some one not to get tot he same trouble I got in...

Sorry for the EULA problem. We will fix this problem in next version. PDF Compressor is freeware.

I thought PDF Compressor was freeware but I read in it's EULA the following section:

You may use (launch) the Software for evaluation purposes within 30 days. You must pay the license fee and register your copy to use the Software for commercial purposes. For information on paying the license fee and registering your copy of the Software, please visit ."

I visit but I can't find any reference to PDF Compressor on the site. So I cancel the installation.
