PayPal Teams Up With Android Pay, Gives You More Payment Options

PayPal is teaming up with Google’s Android Pay in an effort to expand mobile payment platforms across both digital enterprises and brick-and-mortar stores. The partnership will see PayPal becoming available as a payment method in the Android Pay service, allowing U.S. users to pay for a range of services through their phone.

How will it work for you? Android Pay will allow Android users to select their PayPal balance as a method of payment. This will expand to include cards added directly to the user’s PayPal account in the coming months. PayPal CEO Dan Schulman sees this integration as key to getting customers to use PayPal more frequently than the current average of two or three transactions per month.

The PayPal and Android Pay partnership comes on the back of the online payment giant confirming that their mobile application would add NFC support.

PayPal and Android Pay users will be able to use new integration at retailers like Walgreens, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Uber.
