Using for checking documents is a good idea; turnitin is also good. But, I think both of them are complicated to use. One of my friends recently recommended me This site is much easy to use; and it’s free too. I just need to type *** (3 Stars) and then paste My Document in the search box. The search result shows the links to WebPages, if any, that contains similar text as that of the document.
