Gmail’s built-in offline feature requires Gears to be installed in Chrome; even then there are known issues such as incomplete access to Spam and Trash folders (read more about the issues at ) whereas “Offline Google Mail” is a dedicated tool for mail offering a faster response and lesser problems..

What's the difference between using this browser extension (or is it an app?) and the integrated offline feature in Gmail?

I love chrome and I love Gmail! Thanks for sharing about this offline app. The wifi at my house is down all the time, but I still need to access older emails for work.
