Snopes leans left politically, so their political "facts" are suspect.

They give sources that you can check yourself but if you have your head so firmly lodged up your cloaca that all you can hear is "MAGA" then yes, "suspect"

Very useful, thanks. I would quibble with the listing of Snopes. While they are usually accurate, if the subject matter is political they have proven bias toward the left, to the point of "bending" the facts. For this reason, many centrists and conservatives are looking for alternatives. Consider a separate article on available fact-check sites?

Have you tried Infowars? All the MAGA your Aryan brain can take :)

But does MEGA have Linux support??? That's why I moved away from GoogleDrive...

      August 13, 2018 at 10:20 pm

Yes it does. Been using Mega on Linux for several years now.

    • Finikozer
      August 13, 2018 at 11:45 pm

I've found their Linux support to be good (even a command line client is available together with browser extensions, a Thunderbird extension and a sync client) but now for new accounts 35 of the 50GB at signup expires after 1 month so you'll soon be left with only 15GB... Same story with all of their bonuses including referrals, they all expire after vrying amounts of time. That's very stingy. No point bothering with all that unless you want to jump on the hamster wheel and keep adding new referrals to replace those expired GBs... Sad stuff Mega

Snopes used to be good and for some things still is. But, they have a decidely liberal slant to their research so be careful.
